It’s well known that strength underpins explosive power and speed. Look in any credible strength and conditioning text or resource and this will typically be hammered home.

That said, we still need to include speed and power training in our programmes to train us to be able to express these qualities in sport and life. In this video our founder Brendan Chaplin shares 5 considerations in programming for power training in your sessions. This is about the detail and thought that goes into the session as opposed to the 5 best exercises. Once you know the principles the exercises select themselves.

In this video you’ll learn where to place power in your sessions, how to select the best exercises, how to combine strength and power training and much more.
