Tamas Feher Olympic Weightlifting Workshop 20th October
So the workshop with Tamas is coming up through my education company S&C Education on the 20th October.
Tamas is a coach held in high regard when it comes to teaching and training in olympic weightlifting and from a personal perspective has taught me a lot about teaching the olympic lifts over the last few years. I now use his teaching method as the basis of my own coaching of these lifts. It’s a very simple method that develops a good, explosive hip drive in the power clean and snatch which is what these lifts are about when it comes to sports performance.
He’s also not a bad lifter either as this clip will attest with a snatch PB of 155kg at around 90kg bodyweight!
This year I wanted to put on at least a couple of workshops with Tamas as you never know how long he’s going to be around for following the Olympics. The GB team did very well from a personal perspective so I’d imagine he is in demand internationally for coaching roles.
Here’s a couple of clips from previous workshops with Tamas, one on the start position and one on the high pull that you might enjoy watching.
If you’re interested in learning more check out his workshop on the 20th October in Leeds. There are 6 places left for this workshop which is limited to 14 people MAX as Tamas won’t take any more in order to keep the quality of the session very high.
