Mentorship Testimonials ROLLING in!
It’s been a super busy year for me with all the different sports I’m involved in, the educational courses and events that we’ve put on and the video launches. But one thing I’ve managed to find time for (because I really enjoy it) is the mentorship programme I launched last September. The first group of guys are approaching that 12 month period of working with me on a regular basis and I thought it would be a good time to ask them for a summary of their thoughts.
As much as anything this was feedback for me to gauge how effective things had been in their eyes rather than mine.
I’m delighted to say that the feedback I’ve had was awesome, but what is even more pleasing is the diversity of the people in the group and difference in development needs and specific benefits from each of the them.
In the last year alone I’ve had 3 people open gyms from scratch, 3 pass their UKSCA, people go on to work with international athletes and gain full time employment in high performance roles, and much, much more. And that’s just in the last year!
I’m not saying that to boast or blow my own trumpet, on the contrary, it’s not about me, it’s about YOU.
YOU do the work,
YOU put the hours in.
All I do is guide and try to facilitate where I can. This is what I feel the mentor role is all about.
We work together.
I don’t take many people on, and I’ve just started working with Jake Kitchen from Norfolk very recently.
But if you are interested, drop me an email by leaving your details in the form below.
But before you do that, read the testimonials and see if it is actually something you feel is right for you. You can check out more details on THIS PAGE which outlines everything in depth.
“Investing in your education and learning is a huge part in any coach’s career development and I believe the mentorship programme Brendan has set up is amongst the best support programmes out there.
The main reason for my choice in getting involved in the mentorship programme was the opportunity to surround myself and learn from Brendan and coaches at the very top of the game. Brendan’s input and guidance, along with his workshops with Tamas Ferer, Rhodri Lloyd, Tommy Yule, Jared Deacon, Tom Whittaker, Ian Pyper, and the great man Vern Gambetta, have been inspirational. My understanding and abilities in the coaching and training methodologies of speed development, youth training and Olympic Lifts have improved substantially as a coach in the previous 12 months as a result of this programme. Undoubtedly, I have enhanced my abilities as a coach.
Brendan has massively helped me with his experiences in the field, always being available to chat through some of my ideas and current challenges. I have learnt a lot from his ideas and methods of leading a department of Strength and Conditioning Coaches, as well as his excellent experiences in how to deal with interesting characters in the technical coaching world! He has also provided immensely valuable feedback and advice in helping me prepare the England Women’s Lacrosse Development Squad athletic development national programme.
In summary, I believe I have made fantastic steps forward as a coach, an educator and a leader of fellow S&C coaches in the last 12 months. Without any doubt, Brendan’s mentorship programme, along with the input from other top coaches in his workshops, has been vital to my progress.”

“I was for a while looking for some sort of S+C mentorship in the UK. I had no luck so i was thinking of going across the pond to the US instead. This was until one of my friends mentioned Brendan’s mentorship programme. At the time I was working out of a commercial gym and thinking about setting up my own gym facility.
What made me go with the mentorship was not just Brendan’s expertise in the S+C industry but also his success in business.
Since starting the mentorship I know have my own S+C facility with over 60 members so i don’t think i need to explain how useful it was to have Brendan by my side in the process.
Whether you are wanting to improve your business or your S+C knowledge and practical experience then Brendan’s mentorship definitely provides that. I have had access to over 10 of the UK’s top coaches throughout the mentorship which has been a great learning experience.
I know that even after the mentorship Brendan will still be on hand to offer his advice. Thanks Brendan and I hope to make the most of all the advice, help and resources you have provided for myself and the business to date.”

“After many years of competitive sport, coaching, becoming a Personal Trainer and being left wanting more, I finally feel that I’m heading down the path I desire.
I wont lie to you, you need to be ready for this, but if you are and are willing to put in everything you’ve got, you’ll accelerate your journey beyond belief. Brendan can open the right doors for you, but you still have to walk through them yourself!
Since spending time with Brendan from the outset identifying my goals and starting point, I’ve racked up a mass more knowledge, skills and coaching experience.
I’ve been able to make some great connections with many other aspiring coaches and create opportunities to get stuck in and coach lots of different athletes from a wide range of sports.
Learning from Brendan himself and gaining exposure to coaches such as Vern Gambetta, Tommy Yule, Rhodri Lloyd, Ian Pyper, Jared Deacon, Tom Whittaker, Tamas Feher, Ian Fisher, Ben Rosenblatt and Gil Stevenson has certainly been a massive benefit.
Since beginning the Mentorship I have a website that’s had over 16,000 visitors since January (written in July), I’m working well towards my UKSCA accreditation and I’m a qualified coach for UK Athletics coaching at a club with 4 GB Internationals, getting to coach S&C for a great bunch of athletes.
In summary, when I look back to when I began my mentorship its quite frightening the progression I’ve made; I struggle to even recognise myself in such a short space of time. I have much to learn before I can even consider myself a good coach, but I have the direction, clarity and a brilliant support network that will allow me to maintain my progression.
Ultimately, the mentorship has made me a vastly better coach, which is really what its all about; being the best coach possible to help unlock the potential within the athletes you’re helping”
“If you are looking to invest in your education, gain qualifications to progress your career and improve your personal business while working alongside and meeting people at the pinnacle of their fields, then you are have come to the right place.
The above is exactly what i was looking for once I had set up my own facility in Durham and I have to say, my expectations have been surpassed. There is no other program out there that I came across (and believe, i looked) that can rival what Brendan can offer you. Not only have I worked with Brendan, who I believe to be one of the most enthusiastic, passionate and knowledgeable coaches I have worked with, but I have also been able to meet and work with the likes Tamas Feher, Duncan French, Kelvin Giles and soon, the God Father, Vern Gambetta.
The educational aspect to Brendan’s Mentorship alone is worth while but it is just the start……
I can’t say enough good things about the Mentorship and I guess that in summary, I have to say, it has been the best investment into my career which in turn has made it the best investment in my business, as I am my Business……”
“As a qualified tennis coach and a developing strength and conditioning coach in the sport I was looking for a mentor who I knew was credible and had great experience. I was aware of Brendan through his previous work with the LTA and having been impressed with a workshop he led a number of years ago it was an obvious choice to utilise his skills and knowledge to help develop my own. There is no doubt he is a committed and incredibly dedicated strength and conditioning coach but also has the drive to help assist and develop aspiring S&C Coaches. He also has an excellent network of colleagues in the S&C profession.
The mentorship is a fantastic program providing a host of workshops in the cost alongside individual sessions with Brendan which can be tailored to your needs. After a consultation, my main aims were to become a credible and respected S&C Coach in the sport I have great passion for tennis, alongside becoming accredited with the UKSCA. Indeed I felt I had the ability to be a good S&C Coach in tennis but needed a mentor to help develop my confidence. Not only this though, but through Brendan’s understanding of business he has inspired me to begin my own sport science in tennis business, www.scienceintennis.com. There is no doubt that by the end of the mentorship program my confidence, knowledge, skills and delivery of S&C has improved and I will meet my goals set at the start of the mentorship.
Not only is Brendan a great mentor and S&C Coach but he is also a approachable and all round nice guy. I am looking forward to continue working with Brendan over the years and couldn’t recommend this enough to you regardless of your background in S&C or Sport Science.”

“I started the mentor ship with Brendan Chaplin with a desire to succeed in strength and conditioning as a profession but had no idea what route to take to “get in.” I decided to give Brendan’s mentorship a shot and very quickly did things start falling into place . An hour long call with Brendan to decide on an action plan and already I could see how this would benefit me , he gave me contacts but more importantly direction , I’m now currently up to my eye balls in strength and conditioning work with a variety of sports , I seriously recommend Brendan mentorship , the 3 day course is worth the fee alone !!! Let alone the direction and expertise that Brendan offers!”

I think anyone looking to develop as a coach would benefit from having a mentor, and Brendan is up there with the best. I think he is leading the way when it comes to coach education at the minute.I have been under mentorship for about six months now and my coaching and knowledge has developed massively in this short time. Brendan has been coaching for quite a few years now and to learn from his experience, both coaching and business/network, has been invaluable. To be honest with the education package alone you are quids in, but you get so much more than that. Personally I have benefited massively from Brendan’s network, and contacts further north to get experience coaching, as well as with Brendan in Leeds. Having a mentor in place means that every time I speak to Brendan, attend a course or visit the gym in Leeds I want to have developed that little bit more. He is someone holding me accountable and looking to make the next step all the time. Working towards UKSCA accreditation having Brendan to critique my programme design, and point out areas that need developing, practically, coaching or planning wise mean that I feel confident that I will pass my accreditation in a few months. If you are serious about developing as a coach or developing your fitness business I would strongly recommend working with Brendan.

“I have only been doing the mentorship programme for a month and can already see that this was the correct choice for me in developing my career. Brendan is a fantastic mentor who has helped me become more confident each week in a coaching environment and in myself which is vital as I look to gain UKSCA Accreditation. He has helped me choose the right direction for my career and was very honest about what the best options are, along with the best route to achieving them. Currently I have been to 1 of Brendan’s workshops, Injuries are opportunities by Ben Rosenblatt, which was very impressive and helped me gain a lot of invaluable knowledge and experience, as well as meeting fellow professionals and seeing how they deal with different situations and their opinions on the various training methods out there. I would highly recommend the mentorship programme to anybody who is looking at increasing their knowledge, getting practical experience and learning what career options are available to them from a great coach who will be honest with them from the start.”
