Education Update: June 2013 (and a question for you!)
As the Summer closes in (what little we are having of it!), so does the educational schedule for us as well!
So far this year we’ve run 7 workshops and have got 1 more to go on Saturday with the man himself Ben Rosenblatt.
Personally this is one of the highlights of the schedule as I know Ben is really on the edge when it comes to injury management and training around injuries. I’m looking forward to seeing his progressions and work on occlusion training mostly. Along with the functional anatomy stuff too.
There are a few places left if you would like to check this Saturdays workshop out. Click HERE for more info.
On Sunday I have Kelvin Giles on the line for his webinar presentation ‘The Quest for Physical Literacy‘.
Kelvin is one of my mentors and a true pioneer in the field. Listen to THIS interview to get a taste of what I’m talking about!
This Sunday Kelvin will be setting the scene for athletic development for the next 20 years! If you are interested in this field and work with athletes or clients of any kind I would encourage you to listen to his talk this Sunday at 10am GMT.
On Monday Maximum Speed with Jared Deacon will launch.
If you haven’t seen the trailer check it out below or at THIS LINK. To my knowledge this will be the most comprehensive speed training resource out there. It will be on special discount price for 5 days as always with these resources.
From September 6-8th we have another 3 day course coming up which is already selling FAST!
Strength and Power Current Trends with Duncan French i October (5th)
November 2nd and 3rd brings Vern Gambetta back to the UK for his Speed to the Max Course.
Lots going on.
I just love learning, and strength and conditioning education is the way I get to continue my own development alongside my coaching and training. I hope you guys are enjoying the workshops, the blog and the podcast content that I’ve been putting out.
Always good to get your feedback so please do let me know your thoughts.
I mentioned that I’m looking to put together a 12 month online distance learning course for people.
Had a lot of feedback so far on this. It will be the best there is, with on-going assessment, reflective journals, video submission of technique and coaching etc.
If you are interested tell me what you want to see in this.
What type of content?
Would it need to be a qualification or accreditation of some kind? REPS or otherwise?
How do you like to learn? Videos, podcasts, webinars, articles?
How much would you be prepared to pay for a comprehensive monthly programme for 12 months?
Love to know your thoughts and I will make it happen!
Thanks as always,
