You have the bodyPOWER…The 23:1 Rule…
This weekend I was down in sunny Birmingham (it was actually really sunny) for the Bodypower expo.
I always enjoy the show and have given some talks and been involved in the past but this year all I was there to do was hang around and see what was going on.
It was good to catch up with the guys at Premier Personal Training which is an exciting partnership moving forward with my company Strength and Conditioning Education delivering the S&C courses for them moving forwards…(they were nice enough to put me on the front cover of their magazine…just had to drop that into the blog somehow haha) and it was good to catch up with them along with some other notable colleagues and friends including Andy Wiseman, Paul Mort and Alex Ferantinos as well as the whole of the weightlifting crew whom I share a gym with in Leeds. Ali Jawad even smashed the bench press world record unofficially (it will be official very soon I’m sure)!
Let me share a few things with you about Bodypower.
The amount of people who want to learn is huge. Watching seminars, listening to talks, interacting with professionals etc etc.
If you have some knowledge get it shared, people are crying out for it.
It’s inspiring, I take my hat off (i don’t wear one but you get my drift) to anyone who wants to get better.
For me, as a strength and conditioning coach is was great to listen and learn some nutrition info. It always hits home how little we take care of people outside the gym environment.
We need to improve…
It’s what I call the 23:1 rule..
It’s time to take responsibility…
As coaches we spend 1 hour a day in the gym with our clients and athletes. Maybe 2 at best. That leaves 23 hours for our clients to fend for themselves and potentially get it wrong.
But what happens when the results we are expecting don’t happen?
Our clients come to us and complain.
Well it’s time for us to take some responsibility.
It’s time to put systems together to educate people about what to do in those 23 hours.
It’s time to look at the programme holistically.
We need to train well.
In order to do that we need to fuel ourselves well.
And we need to recover well.
The Performance Nutrition Summit 2014 will give you those tools you need to build your system.
You’ll get the answers to the questions you’re being asked on a daily basis.
You’ll be getting world class knowledge and information from 5 of the VERY BEST.
It’s time to time things up a notch.
We must educate our athletes and clients to manage themselves outside of their time with us. Nutrition is a KEY part in this process.
Thats why I brought 5 of the worlds very best nutritional COACHES together for the nutrition summit.
Experts that actually work with clients.
And get results in pressurised environments of elite sport but also with the general public.
If you are a coach, trainer, aspiring S&C professional this is something you really need to get involved in and it’s happening in June.
Check out the poster below, click on it and it will take you to the summit. If you TAKE ACTION before the end of the month you’ll get it for the lowest price it will ever be, you’ll get recordings for LIFE…and the recordings will NEVER be sold for a cheaper price!
