Pressure and Performance – Part Two
Here’s what to do when you’re in the RED ZONE! A place where you really don’t want to be!!
So yesterday I talked about how important it is to have pressure in your life. Openly seeking and putting yourself under pressure is one of the quickest ways to force yourself to take action more aggressively and move you toward your goals. When you have to make things happen you have no choice but to act. With the right amount of pressure you’ll perform optimally. This is what’s referred to as the peak performance zone. (See the picture below)
But today is actually about what to do when you’re under too much pressure.
(The Red Zone pictured below).
See, pressure only helps to drive action up to a certain point.
Too much pressure is going to push you into that place called the red zone, where you don’t want to be.
Maybe you’re already there? If you’re taking too much on and not getting anywhere with anything that’s a sign.
The most effective way I’ve found to bring yourself back into the green zone.
Focus on the things that matter. That actually get you to where you want to be. (Work out where you want to be first!).
Which tasks, projects, or goals are critical to your path to success?
Are you working on too many things and losing sight of what matters?
Which tasks can you drop to allow more structured focus to happen?
Get rid of some baggage that’s holding you back today and get going with what matters.
Enjoy the process,
Those of you who want help with this and would like to really accelerate your business and lifestyle, I’m considering offering a business and lifestyle mentorship. If you would be kind enough to tell me the kind of things you’d like to see in that programme to make a big difference to you that would be epic! Just send me a private message
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
