The Mentee Philosophy
As the mentorship is coming to an end for the January intakes, we have caught up with our current mentees to chat about the obstacles and challenges they have faced since the start of the course.
Our mentees have come a long way during the mentorship gaining important advice from coaches and learning valuable lessons through own personal errors.
We asked our mentees to think about the journey they have encountered and what philosophical advice they would give to other aspiring coaches…
“Not everyone can be a world champion, but everyone can be better by working with a coach”
“Every champion was once a contender who didn’t give up”
“Determination, drive, commitment, passion, belief and establishing a relationship with all clients and being able to adapt in all situations are all key to good coaching”
“Concentrate on your development, learn from others but don’t let others deter you from your own personal success”
“Do the basics and do them really well”
“If you cant do the basics right, then have the balls to drop the ego and start from the beginning”
“I’m very much about application. You can be the best book in the world but if your pages are glued shut your pretty useless”
“Learn it, apply it then practice it till its habit and engrained in you”
“Believe in yourself and your ability”
“Establish good relationships with everyone!”
“Keep it simple and progress people when they have earned the right”
Some brilliant words of wisdom from our mentees! I hope you can take something from this that will help with your own personal development.
We have just opened the doors for a small intake into our next mentorship programme. If you are interested in gaining more information or would like to join the programme click here
