Biggest lessons from the Mentorship
We have been catching up with our recent mentees about how they are enjoying the course and if they have any words of wisdom for other aspiring coaches. Our current mentees have now been on the course since January and are soon due to take their assessments to qualify as level three Strength and Conditioning coaches. We grabbed five of our students to ask them what their biggest lessons have been since starting the mentorship…
“Never underestimate what you can achieve… the best research in the world is useless if it can’t be applied…it can be tough at first but worth it in the long run”
“You can go achieve your goals through self belief, confidence and the right guidance…attend workshops, listen to people who have been there and have experience…push your limits in terms of learning, this has a knock on effect to self confidence and belief”
“Start with why…ensure your athletes take ownership of their training…if it isn’t broken consider breaking it… become adaptable not adapted”
“Find out what you do best and be the best you can be…specialise and captivate an audience that want what you provide…be true, be real, care and be passionate everyday…communicate, be amusing, be entertaining…entrust and be loyal to your standards”
“work on the business, not just in it…don’t think just do…keep it simple…don’t use all your bullets when one will do”
I hope you enjoyed reading the thoughts of our current Mentees. After our nine month course you could also become a qualified level three Strength and Conditioning coach?
